Hike through the nature park, marvel at geological treasures and explore a world that only exists here. Your Hotel Alpenaussicht makes an ideal starting point for a holiday in the Ötztal Nature Park. In summer and in winter alike.
Nature & exploration on Tirol’s Alpine roof
On over 508 km2, the Ötztal Nature Park is home to 67 glaciers, a 1600 kilometer hiking network, six theme trails, 152 three-thousand-meter high peaks, 48 mountain huts and Alpine pastures and Tirol’s biggest waterfall. The Ötztal Nature Park is Tirol’s second largest nature park and the third largest in Austria. Between the valley floor and the highest point of the nature park - Wildspitze peak at 3774 meters – you will also find countless protected animal species and a unique flora. In high Alpine nature landscapes, life continues to bloom and prosper as it did in long past times. In the natural forest reserves of Windachtal side valley you will be amazed by the stone pine forests, while the Engelswand rock face near Umhausen boasts flora and fauna that have adapted to the vertical habitat. Natural lakes such as Piburger See and the rockslide landscape are just as much a natural wonder as the rugged mountain peaks of the three-thousand-meter peaks.
